Globe Point is an inspiring office building forming the gateway to the Temple neighbourhood in Leeds. The building aims to disrupt the office market by delivering a scheme which pushes the expectations of the demanding sector. Built on a former industrial site, the project replaces disused industrial buildings and car parks with 38,000sqft of new Grade A office accommodation and some Ground Floor retail space. Designed by RIBA Stirling Prize winning architect, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, Globe Point comprises 6 upper floors laid out over one of the most distinctive floor plates in Leeds with its solid geometrical wedge shape and concave curved nose.
The site is located within the Holbeck Conservation Area and is sandwiched on a constrained site between two key transport routes with a historical waterway also running alongside. Different construction methodologies were fully explored with contractors to inform logistics and flood resilience.
