Built in the 1960''s the former Midway multistorey car park in Newcastle-under-Lyme conversion to residential is an innovative, cutting edge project that will revolutionise residential led regeneration within the UK. The scheme will retain most of the original frame, external and internal walls and incorporate remodeled structure and new facades and roof extension to deliver 111 apartments . The development will include 78 one-bedroom and 33 two-bedroom flats, arranged around a three-storey atrium with planting and extensive amenity space. Facilities will include a gym, lounge, cinema room and social hub, along with landscaped courtyards and a communal roof terrace.
The scheme will include 49 car parking spaces and 116 cycle spaces. Reusing the car park would accelerate delivery and cut the carbon impact compared with demolition and rebuild. Karparc is one of three regeneration projects the developer is delivering for Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council.
