The E2/3 apartments are the first residential phase to be delivered within the £400million Kirkstall Forge 57-acre, mixed-use development. The scheme will provide a mix of 136 apartments for the Build to Rent sector together with BREEAM Excellent commercial space at the ground floor and a WiredScore “Platinum” accreditation. In addition a 54 space car park is provided which utilises the unique topography of the site to access it at the first floor and there is also an extensive package of external works including an adopted highway, Stitch Square and a Pocket Park providing an pedestrian link to the A65.

The scheme’s energy strategy is based on a Ground Source Heat Pump. This requires an extensive array of deep boreholes which absorb natural heat from the ground and transfer this into the buildings to provide heating and hot water in a low-carbon, energy efficient way.
